The latest series of AC/DC converters from power specialist Powersolve includes models that provide 90W – convection cooled, 120W – forced air cooled, incorporate active power correction and meet the requirements of EN61000-3-2. Common features of every model in the PPS120 Series include a universal 90 to 264VAC input, integral EMI filter and compliance with all major safety approval standards.

Available as standard in ‘U’ channel format with an optional cover, the PPS120P is available with single, dual, triple and quad outputs from 3.3 to 48V. With active power factor correction, the new converter complies with EN61000-3-2 (D).

Housed in the same format and footptint, the PPS120 complies with EN61000-3-2 (A) and can be optionally supplied with DC inputs of 12, 24 or 48VDC. Like other models in the series, the PPS120 can be specified with single, dual, triple or quad outputs of from 3.3 to 48V.

Other features common to all models include protection against overvoltage, overload and short circuit. Operating temperature range is 0 to 50ºC and MTBF has been calculated as greater than 100,000 hours at full load at 25ºC ambient.
