SMD Flat Chip Temperature Sensors in Three Standard Chip SizesVishay has announced SMD flat chip temperature sensors that offer advanced thin film technology in three standard chip sizes — 0603, 0805, and 1206. The devices feature short reaction times of ≤5s (in air) and a temperature range from -55°C up to +155°C. Thanks to a highly controlled platinum thin film manufacturing process, these new Vishay Beyschlag flat chip sensors offer an outstanding stability of temperature characteristic of < ±0.04%, even in the long term, over a wide temperature range, allowing precise temperature measurements in automotive electronics, industrial electronics, telecommunication systems, and medical equipment.
Huawei Selects Tundra’s Serial Switch for Next Generation SystemsTundra Semiconductor has been selected by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. (Huawei), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, to provide Serial RapidIO Switches to enable Huawei's next generation production systems.
Laser Dichroic FiltersSemrock, Inc has announced a family of filter products made with advanced Ion Beam Sputtering. The new RazorEdge Dichroic beamsplitters, which reflect a standard laser wavelength incident at 45 degrees while efficiently passing a broad band of the longer Raman-shifted wavelengths, boast an ultrasteep transition from reflection to transmission far superior to anything else on the open market. The guaranteed transition from laser line to passband in <1% of the laser wavelength (regardless of polarization) makes these new filters a perfect match to Semrock's patented and popular normal-incidence RazorEdge ultrasteep long-wave-pass filters.
Active differential 'scope probes provide 13 and 16 GHz BandwidthTektronix has announced what it says are the the world's fastest active differential probes to complement its new four-channel real-time oscilloscopes featured elsewhere in electronicspecifier. The new P7500 probing family sets industry benchmarks for bandwidth, provides superior signal fidelity with fast risetime and low circuit loading, introduces unique patent-pending TriMode measurement switching, and a new "needle nose" form factor. The new probes and oscilloscopes are part of a next generation serial data workbench (see separate release) that enables R&D engineers to debug and validate high-speed serial data circuits up to 10Gbit/s.
High-speed active probe for real-time signal acquisition from TTiThe TAP1500 high-speed active probe for the Tektronix DPO4000 and DPO7000 families of oscilloscopes is now available from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments). The new 1.5 GHz single-ended active FET probe provides the excellent high-speed electrical and mechanical performance required for the real-time testing and debugging of today's digital system designs.
Power-supply terminals combine safety with flexibilityTTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments) has introduced a new safety terminal for the company's range of laboratory power supplies. The new terminal combines the flexibility of a conventional 4 mm binding-post terminal with the safety features of a 4 mm safety socket.
RF and microwave couplersAtlantic Microwave has launched two families of directional couplers. Specifically designed for cellular radio and satellite communications, the new series of RF directional couplers from Atlantic Microwave Ltd cover the frequency range of 800 to 2500 MHz in a wide choice of coupling factors from 5 to 20 dB.
Ultra-Slim Broadband Power DividersA completely new range of microwave power dividers from Atlantic Microwave Ltd comprehensively covers the 0.5 to 18 GHz frequency range in octave and multi-octave designs.
PIR movement detectors control interior and exterior lighting installationsThe 18 Series of PIR movement detectors from Finder has been extended to include a new model that operates outdoors in addition to the existing indoor model. The units detect body heat to control lighting in a range of applications, including energy saving and security. |
