IAR Systems and Kitron in alliance to support the embedded market in Norway
IAR Systems has signed an agreement with Kitron, one of Scandinavia's leading companies in the development and manufacturing of electronics systems for medical, defence, marine, communications, and process industries, under which Kitron will become an IAR Systems distributor for Norway. With an experienced team of development engineers, Kitron can undertake assignments ranging from simple development work to complete product packages. Kitron supports its customers from concept to volume production in one of its manufacturing plants.
PXI Embedded Controllers Include PXI Express and Real-Time Controllers
National Instruments has announced a family of PXI, PXI Express and PXI real-time embedded controllers based on the 2.16 GHz dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7400. The NI PXI-8106 and NI PXIe-8106 controllers deliver a performance improvement of more than 100 percent compared to systems running traditional single-core processors. With two cores, or computing engines, in one processor, the new PXI and PXI Express controllers can simultaneously execute two computing tasks.
TES opens Californian design centre
TES Electronic Solutions SA (TES), an independent full-service electronic design and manufacturing company, today announced the acquisition of the assets of eDFX Services, creating the first TES design centre in the USA. This allows TES to offer local design support in the USA as well as enhancing the company's design resources. This acquisition increases TES's global design resources to more than 500 design engineers in 17 design centres around the world, with strong design capabilities and skills across IC, board, software and full-system design.
