XMOS Semiconductor appoints ProGate in Korea

XMOS, the creator of Software Defined Silicon (SDS), a new class of programmable semiconductor, has announced it has appointed ProGate Technology as its sales representative in Korea. With its deep understanding of the consumer electronics sector in Korea and the high calibre of its sales staff, ProGate was considered by XMOS to be ideally positioned to communicate SDS' unique set of benefits to this important region.

With prices and technical features aiming to appeal to the consumer electronics market, XMOS products are expected to prove especially attractive to Korean electronics design companies.

The announcement of Progate’s appointment coincides with XMOS’ unveiling of the details of its SDS technology and a roadmap set to deliver first product during the first half of 2008.
