A recently published catalogue from Tyco Electronics outlines the company's portfolio of preferred products for the new COM Express standard for Computer-on-Modules from the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG). All featured products are ideal solutions for the new COM Express standard which is thought to soon become a major driver in the embedded computer market.

The Embedded Computer Products – COM Express catalogue includes Tyco Electronics’ applicable ranges of board to board connectors, board level components, wire to board devices, I/O connectors and antennas. Key technical details and part numbers are listed for all products featured in the new catalogue.

COM – or Computer-on-Modules are highly integrated CPU modules that provide system expansion and customization through application-specific carrier boards. The COM Express standard for Computer-on-Modules based on serial differential signalling technology, incorporates interfaces including PCI Express™, Serial ATA, USB 2.0, LVDS and Serial DVO.
