Cherry Electrical Products UK will be showcasing contact-free Smart card readers at InfoSec 2008, London Olympia, April 22-24. The Smarter Terminal ST-1275 is a combined contact/contact-free chip card reader, offering hassle free access, whilst retaining the ability to maintain security.

Conforming to ISO 7861 standards, the Smarter Terminal ST-1275 is USB 2.0 compatible and is EMV 2000 terminal Level 1-approved. Weighing less than 90 grammes and measuring 105 x 70 x 12 mm, the ST1275's reads Smart cards from a distance of up to 5cm and is guaranteed for two years.
