Patented power supply said to offer unique capability

Specialist power conversion distributor, PIV Technology, has announced the launch of the MOLT 7833g power supply from its partner Elementech International. The MOLT series has been developed by Elementech to enable the charging of modern portable electronic products indoors or whilst travelling using a single innovative product solution.

The cost effective, patented design, features a DC input from 10.8V to 30V making it suitable for both 12V and 24V battery systems and a 100V – 240V AC input enabling its use on worldwide mains networks. The DC input is via a cigarette lighter plug with the AC input provided via a C8 (class II) socket. Convenient AC input plugs are available to enable worldwide use, an AC mains lead fitted with a C7 connector can be used instead of the AC input plug if required.

The MOLT is available with voltage outputs in the range of 3.3V – 24V DC with a maximum output current of 1A and a maximum output power of 5W. The output of the power supply is provided via a 1 metre lead which can be coiled neatly under the anodised aluminium cover when not in use. To store the output lead the power supply body is twisted with the cable guided into the power supply body by a sliding bush. There are a number of output connection options including Mini USB, Power Jack and Mobile Telephone connectors.

The MOLT is a compact solution with dimensions of 128mm x 39mm x 37mm. The product is fully Safety and EMC approved and also conforms to the requirements of the RohS and WEEE directives.

In addition to the standard offering PIV is also able to provide full OEM/ODM solutions including specific output voltages, connectors and packaging.
