Ophir-Spiricon Introduces Circular Laser Energy Sensors for Easy CenteringOphir-Spiricon, the global leader in precision laser measurement equipment, today announced the PD300-R line of Circular Photodiode Sensors. Identical in performance to the company's popular PD300 laser detectors, the PD300-R feature round geometry for easy mounting and centering on collinear optical bench systems. SM-1 mounting threads on all components ensure a fit with most optics. Ophir-Spiricon - Water Cooled and Fan Cooled Laser Beam Dumps for High Power ApplicationsOphir-Spiricon today announced two new Laser Beam Dump products for high power applications, the BD5000W-BB-50 and the BDFL500A-BB-50. These devices are designed to safety absorb the unused part of a high power laser beam and dissipate the resulting heat, protecting nearby personnel and equipment. The BDFL500A-BB-50 is a fan-cooled Beam Dump for up to 500W. The BD5000W-BB-50 is a water-cooled Beam Dump for even higher power applications, up to 5kW. Intense Announced High Power Turnkey Direct Diode Laser System at Photonics West 2010Intense Ltd., today announced at Photonics West the release of Hermes DDL, a turnkey Direct Diode Laser System. Powered by Intense's patented QWI enabled high temperature QCW stack technology, Hermes DDL is the company's first turnkey industrial laser system. It includes a compact, turnkey laser that comes fully integrated with drive electronics and optics capable of delivering up to 1.5kW of power at various programmable pulse lengths and duty cycles. The Hermes DDL is ideally suited for mounting on gantry type workstations or can be easily adapted for robotic applications.
Semrock Laser Fluorescence Filters Designed for 594 nm Cobolt DPSS LaserA collaboration between Cobolt AB and Semrock, Inc., has resulted in the development of optical filters optimized for use with the Cobolt Mambo™ 594 nm orange laser in fluorescence instrumentation. SANYO exits red and infrared laser diode productionPhotonic Products Ltd, authorised distributor of SANYO laser diodes, has announced that, due to the recent merger between SANYO and Panasonic, SANYO will end production of its industrial red and infrared laser diodes at the end of September 30th 2010. The last time buy date for all affected product lines will be March 31st 2010.
Laser and Optical Systems Products Catalogue from SemrockSemrock has expanded its print catalog offering by releasing the first edition of a catalog specifically targeted at customers of its optical filters for lasers and optical systems. This catalog complements Semrock's Master Catalog, and contains new Technical and Product Notes along with dozens of new optical filter products optimized for Raman spectroscopy and a variety of other laser applications.
