Extruded aluminium Eurocard cases
Vero Technologies has introduced three styles of extruded aluminium instrument cases, designed to accept three quarter and full width Eurocard PCBs. Circuit boards are mounted horizontally into multi-position internal slots in the body of the case, which has a black anodised finish for good resistance to wear and tear and improved heat dissipation. The smaller three quarter width E003 range is 40mm in height and will accept a 75mm wide PCB into four PCB slot positions; the larger E005 and E006 are 61mm high and will take standard 100mm wide Eurocards into eight PCB slot positions. The external surface of the enclosure incorporates a series of ribbed fins to aid heat dissipation and T slots are provided on both sides and the base to enable the units to be securely attached to other equipment if required. For enhanced access, the E006 full width units have a removable aluminium top cover; all sizes are supplied with two flat aluminium end panels.

Hall Research Launches Multi-Format Digital Video Scaler, the SC-1080H
Hall Research announces today the release of the Model SC-1080H, a multiple format video scaler with 5 distinct types of AV inputs: HDMI/DVI, PC/VGA, YPbPr, S-Video, and Composite Video. The device provides a scaled digital video output that can be selected to display any of the inputs. The SC-1080H inputs can accept various video formats and resolutions and its output can be scaled to any desired resolution for display on HDMI or DVI compliant display. Audio inputs include both analog and digital types, while the audio output is digital (S/PDIF) on a separate connector as well as embedded in the HDMI video stream.

KM 3500 - 58 to 82.5mm Thermal Kiosk Printer
APS introduces the new KM 3500 Heavy Duty Kiosk printer with the latest features. Printing speed has been improved up to 250 mm per second. Paper up to 160 µm thickness can be used without any problem. The integrated paper holder can use rolls with an outer diameter of 254mm which gives overall printing length of around 800 meters. USB/RS232 or Ethernet interfaces are integrated as standard. The temperature range has been extended to -20°C up to +70°C and drivers for Windows and Linux are available. For security applications, the integrated "presenter-function" can be used.

Camden Electronics adds size 12 enclosure to versatile DIN rail family
Camden Electronics has added a size 12 enclosure to its versatile modular DIN rail mounting range offering 30% extra capacity. A logical addition to the range, the new CNMB/12 snapfit DIN rail enclosure is 210mm long compared with 160mm for the CNMB/9. It is supplied complete with 12 terminal guards as standard, eight perforated on 5.08mm pitch and four solid. The additional length allows users to include larger electronic printed circuits in a single enclosure. A vented option is also available for applications requiring additional heat dissipation.
