Powersolve, the UK's leading power solutions specialist company, announces a new series of versatile, cost competitive power adaptors that can be used as either plug-top or desk-top units. Called the PSD40-65 Series, the adaptors provide between 40 and 65W from a universal 90 to 264VAC input range. Output voltages range from 5 to 24VDC.

For desk-top use, the adaptors incorporate the standard “figure of eight” input socket but they can also be used as a plug-top unit by using one of several supplied AC plugs. Formats covered are UK, Euro, USA and Australia. The standard output connector is
2.5 x 5.5 x 9.5mm centre positive, but Powersolve can supply the product with other connectors as required. Dimensions are 114 x 53 x 34mm.

The units feature Class II insulation so no earth is required and they are approved to all major safety and EMC standards.

Short circuit, over current and over voltage protection is standard and operating temperature range is 0 to 40ºC.
