RoHS Compliant Low Profile Push Button TACT Switch

knitter-switch has announced the introduction of its TSS 309 push-button tact switch. This space-saving surface mounted switch measures 3.8 x 6.0mm and is just 1.7mm high. For secure mounting and good electrical contact, a single J-lead terminal is provided which ensures maximum solder on the joint and aids visual inspection. Where required, versions are also available with flat solder terminals.

Two actuator forces are available, 180 and 360gm and operational lifetime is better than 100,000 operations. The TSS 309 may be soldered at 260°C, is RoHS compliant and features contact ratings of 12VDC or 23VDC @ 50mA, a maximum contact resistance of 100mO and an operating temperature range of -20 to +70ºC.

The new knitter-switch TSS 309 is available from stock in 2,500-piece tape and reel packaging direct from knitter-switch or a number of distributors throughout Europe. Samples are usually available on next day delivery. Typical applications include, automotive controls, personal electronic equipment, games consoles, instrumentation, remote controls and hand held devices.
