La nouvelle famille SC Express de NI garantit une précision accrue, une vitesse de transfert de données élevée et une synchronisation de premier ordre pour les mesures à partir de jauges de contrainte, de capteurs à base de pont, de thermocouples ainsi que d'entrées analogiques haute tension. National Instruments Expands NI-XNET Embedded Network Platform With Support for the LIN Communication Bus
National Instruments has announced new PXI and PCI interfaces that expand the NI-XNET platform to include support for the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) communication bus. The new NI PXI-8516 and NI PCI-8516 LIN interfaces make it possible for engineers and scientists to develop LIN applications in NI LabVIEW, NI LabWindows™/CVI and C/C++ for Windows and LabVIEW Real-Time OSs. As part of the NI-XNET platform, the new PXI and PCI interfaces are ideal for applications that require real-time, high-speed manipulation of many LIN frames and signals, such as hardware-in-the-loop simulation, rapid control prototyping, bus monitoring and automation control. In addition, the new interfaces provide integrated support for importing and using signals from LDF databases, which simplify scheduling and scaling of LIN messages on the bus.

National Instruments has announced the release of a new vision module for the PXI platform that provides a high-performance parallel processing architecture for hardware-defined timing, control and image pre-processing. The new NI 1483 Camera Link adapter module, in combination with an NI FlexRIO field-programmable gate array (FPGA) board, offers a solution for embedding vision and control algorithms directly on FPGAs. Engineers and scientists can use FPGAs to process and analyse an image in real time with little to no CPU intervention. Additionally, using FPGAs helps eliminate the need to design custom hardware.

NI Announces More Than 100 C Series Modules
National Instruments today announced the availability of more than 100 C Series plug-in modules from National Instruments and third-party companies. With more than 50 modules from NI, 50 third-party modules and a multitude of chassis available, there are numerous configuration options to address a wide variety of measurement and embedded control needs. Engineers and scientists can insert NI C Series modules into any of the C Series family of chassis including NI CompactDAQ, NI CompactRIO and the NI R Series expansion chassis to create a variety of mixed measurement systems. Additionally, they can use the third-party modules in any of the field-programmable gate array (FPGA)-based chassis, including all NI CompactRIO and R Series expansion chassis.

National Instruments Advances IEEE 802.11n Wireless LAN Test with WLAN Measurement Suite 2.0
National Instruments introduced its new solution for IEEE 802.11n wireless LAN (WLAN) testing, the NI WLAN Measurement Suite 2.0, which includes enhanced software toolkits for IEEE 802.11n WLAN signal generation and analysis. The suite integrates with NI 6.6 GHz PXI Express multichannel RF signal generators and analysers to deliver true, phase-coherent multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) RF measurements required for IEEE 802.11n WLAN testing. The suite also delivers the industry's fastest measurement speed for those including error vector magnitude (EVM) and spectrum mask and provides the highest class of measurement accuracy for IEEE 802.11n and a/b/g WLAN test.

National Instruments announced the company's first data acquisition (DAQ) modules with integrated signal conditioning for scalable, high-performance measurements on PXI Express. The new NI SC Express family delivers increased accuracy, high data throughput and best-in-class synchronisation for measuring strain gauges, bridge-based transducers, thermocouples and high-voltage analogue inputs. PXI Express provides 250 MB/s of dedicated bandwidth for each SC Express module in the chassis, which helps engineers increase channel count without compromising sampling rates or data throughput. With a smaller footprint, simplified cable management and new software features for automatic synchronisation, the SC Express modules make it easy for engineers to set up and program high-channel-count sensor measurement systems.

National Instruments Awards $1 Million to Advance Medical Device Development Since 2008
National Instruments today announced that it has awarded $1 million USD in software, support and training to medical device manufacturers through its medical device grant program. Since the program began in 2008, 59 grant recipients from around the world have used technology such as the NI LabVIEW graphical system design platform to reduce the cost and complexity of medical device development and quickly create functional prototypes that help prove their inventions. National Instruments also announced that it is continuing the grant program in 2010 and accepting applications until June 30.

National Instruments has introduced new RF vector signal generators (VSGs) and vector signal analysers (VSAs) in two-channel, three-channel and four-channel versions for multichannel multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) RF design and test applications. The NI PXIe-5663E 6.6 GHz two-, three- and four-channel RF VSA and NI PXIe-5673E 6.6 GHz two-, three- and four-channel RF VSG versions, based on PXI Express, incorporate a shared local oscillator (LO) architecture to achieve true phase coherency between each RF port, which facilitates more accurate channel-to-channel phase measurements in a variety of RF test applications.

PXI Programmable Amplifier and Attenuator Expand National Instruments RF and Microwave Test Portfolio
National Instruments has expanded its automated test product line with two new RF signal conditioning modules that enhance the measurement accuracy and flexibility of PXI-based RF and microwave test systems. In applications such as RF signal path degradation modeling, field strength metering and receiver testing, engineers can combine the new NI PXI-5695 8 GHz programmable RF attenuator with a vector signal generator (VSG) to improve RF signal quality at low power levels. Engineers can integrate the NI PXI-5691 8 GHz programmable RF preamplifier, which also functions as a power amplifier, with VSGs to increase maximum power and with vector signal analysers (VSAs) to measure low-level signals.
