Pushbuttons allow the user to illuminate all of the LEDs for each individual colour, which include green, yellow, orange, red, blue, blue/green and white.
Power triac photocoupler provides 800V off state voltageThe new TLP3082 power triac photocoupler from Toshiba Electronics Europe features reinforced insulation and 5kV isolation voltage for AC safety applications. Specified with an off-state voltage of 800V, Toshiba's TLP3082 consists of a zero-crossing (ZC) photo-triac optically coupled to a gallium arsenide (GaAs) infrared emitting diode. Maximum inhibit voltage for zero-crossing is just 20V, contributing to reduction of EMI emissions.
4GB microSDHC memory cardToshiba has expanded its line of small-format, high-speed, high-capacity memory cards with the announcement of the launch of a 4-gigabyte microSDHC card. The addition of the new card extends Toshiba's range of microSDHC cards, the preferred memory card for mobile phone applications, from 256MB up to 4GB.
White LEDs provide low power alternative to conventional lightingToshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its family of white LEDs with a new device that can provide a typical flux of 30lumens (lm) from a driving current of 250mA. The new TL12W01-D surface mount LED has dimensions of just 7.0mm x 5.0mm x 2.1mm and will be ideal for many domestic and commercial lighting applications that have conventionally used incandescent bulbs. In addition, it is anticipated that designers will choose these compact devices for space-limited designs that require high-brightness LCD backlighting.
White LEDs double brightness from compact packageToshiba Electronics Europe has launched a high efficiency white LED that provides double the brightness of previous devices in the same form factor. Supplied in a standard, compact package, the new TLWK1100B LED delivers typical luminous intensity levels of 1500mcd from a drive current of only 20mA.
Single-chip inverters suit appliance and industrial motion control applicationsToshiba Electronics Europe has launched a new generation of single-chip inverters for brushless DC motor applications operating with voltages up to 500V. Available in PWM and non-PWM versions, the new devices integrate into a DIP26 package full three-phase inverter bridge operation and other key features including protection and integrated bootstrap diodes.
Ultra High Speed ESD Protection DiodesToshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has announced the first device in a new Ultra High Speed family of ESD protection diodes aimed at interface protection applications for high-speed data ports, for example, USB2.0 interfaces. With handheld and portable devices, including mobile phones and digital cameras, integrating ever more functionality into increasingly smaller form factors, providing electrostatic discharge protection becomes even more important.
8-bit microcontroller targets automotive and industrial applicationsToshiba's latest compact 8-bit CMOS microcontroller combines 16kByte of SuperFlash memory with a large number of serial interfaces and new analogue IP blocks for LVD (low voltage detector) and POR (power on reset) functionality. The TMP86FH92 is based on Toshiba's low-power, high-performance TLCS870/C core and is ideally suited to automotive and industrial applications including actuator control, sensor interfacing and power supervision. A fully automotive qualified version of the device is available. Is More Moore possible? Toshiba's Dr Tohru Furuyama will ask in keynote address at DATE 2007Dr Tohru Furuyama, the general manager for Toshiba Corporation's Centre for Semiconductor Research and Development, will present a keynote address on the topic of system-on-chip (SoC) development at the opening session of this year's DATE Conference in Nice, France. Toshiba to Launch 56-Nanometer, 16-Gigabit NAND Flash MemoryToshiba Corporation, reinforcing its leadership in the development and fabrication of powerful, high density NAND flash memory, has announced the introduction of 16Gb (2 gigabyte) and 8Gb (1 gigabyte) NAND flash memory, fabricated with cutting-edge 56-nanometer process technology co-developed with SanDisk Corporation.
Toshiba device selected by television design house TVonicsToshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has announced that digital television design house TVonics has developed a new module design targeted at terrestrial iDTV applications using one of the company's digital video broadcast (DVB) system-on-chip (SoC) processors.
Ultra-compact MOSFETsToshiba Electronics Europe has launched two new small signal, high-efficiency p-channel MOSFETs that combine high current switching functionality with low ON-resistance, low voltage operation and ultra-compact form factors. The new MOSFETs address requirements of mobile phones, portable navigation systems and other handheld devices, which are constantly offering new functionalities that eventually lead to an increase in total power consumption. This increasing load to the battery calls for intelligent power management solutions requiring very efficient MOSFETs for load switching.
3.2-megapixel and 2.0-megapixel CMOS image sensorsToshiba Electronics Europe has announced the further expansion of its Dynastron CMOS image sensor product line with the addition of two new devices: the 3.2-megapixel ET8EE6-AS CMOS image sensor and 2.0-megapixel ET8EF2-AS CMOS image sensor SoC with integrated image-signal processor (ISP).
Portable low-cost emulator for 8-bit microsToshiba has expanded its family of embedded systems tools with the launch of a low-cost and compact 'all-in-one' emulator for the development of applications based on the company's low-power TLCS-870/C 8-bit microcontrollers.
Starter Kit speeds development of Toshiba's 16-bit SuperFlash microcontrollersToshiba Electronics Europe has launched a Starter Kit that will help engineers to rapidly and cost-effectively develop and prototype applications based on the company's latest 16-bit SuperFlash microcontroller. 8-bit microcontroller core from Toshiba enables faster processing at lower frequenciesToshiba Electronics Europe has announced a new 8-bit microcontroller core. Designated TLCS-870/C1, the new core is capable of processing one instruction cycle in a single clock cycle, enabling faster processing at lower frequencies, reduced noise and lower power consumption compared with Toshiba's previous 8-bit core.
