Yageo announces new anti-sulfurated resistors capable of satisfying the most stringent of product applications
Yageo Corporation recently released its new "anti-sulfurated resistors" AF series. These are designed mainly for use in environments exposed to high levels of contamination, which could include industrial control systems, sensors, electric instrumentation, and communication base stations among others. This series is also suited for electronic appliances used in high concentrations of sulfur gases areas such as hot springs and mines.

Yageo Introduces Small PIFA GPS Antenna for Handheld Devices
Yageo Corporation, a leading global passive components supplier, announced today the release of the smallest ceramic chip antenna (PIFA mode) for GPS applications. The new PIFA GPS antenna is an advanced design of the 2.45GHz PIFA antenna that was released last year. Although the same size, it can now reach the same efficiency on lower frequency. This antenna is specifically designed for use in high-end handheld GPS devices, such as mobile phones, PDAs, portable navigation devices, notebook computers, and mobile internet devices. Samples were sent to customers earlier this year while mass production began in March.

Yageo - Ultra-Low Resistance Current Sensor Targets Miniature Portable Device Application
Yageo Corporation has announced the release of its PF1206 ultra-low resistance current sensor designed for mini portable device applications. Featuring a comprehensive resistance range of 1 to 50 milli-ohms and temperature coefficient of 75ppm/ºC, Yageo's PF1206, manufactured using in-house metal foil and metal alloy processing technologies to combine PCB substrate and resistance foil, is capable of delivering 5-10% less temperature rise than similar products.

Yageo - Antenna Targets GPS Application for Smart Phones
Yageo has announced the 1044 SMD LP Patch Antenna catering to GPS applications for smart phones, personal navigation devices and notebook computers. Yageo's 1044 SMD LP Patch Antenna is capable of delivering up to 80% more efficiency than traditional chip antennas while taking up 50% less space. Samples are already available to customers since April with mass production scheduled for May this year. Yageo expects to double GPS product shipments with the release of the 1044 SMD LP Patch Antenna.

Yageo partners customers to advance market position in wireless solutions
Yageo Corporation has announced that it has entered into partnership with original equipment manufacturers and original design manufacturers to promote wireless solutions in Europe, backed by advanced ceramic technology. In addition to partnerships with OEMs and ODMs, Yageo will extend collaboration with key distributors, including Rutronik, TTI, Arrow, Avnet and Abacus, to strengthen the technical and design-in support available to customers for high-frequency antennas. The move is also expected to cover independent design centres in every European country.
