The new PIFA GPS antenna is an advanced design of the 2.45GHz PIFA antenna that was released last year. Although the same size, it can now reach the same efficiency on lower frequency. This antenna is specifically designed for use in high-end handheld GPS devices, such as mobile phones, PDAs, portable navigation devices, notebook computers, and mobile internet devices. Samples were sent to customers earlier this year while mass production began in March.

Yageo has announced the 1044 SMD LP Patch Antenna catering to GPS applications for smart phones, personal navigation devices and notebook computers. Yageo's 1044 SMD LP Patch Antenna is capable of delivering up to 80% more efficiency than traditional chip antennas while taking up 50% less space. Samples are already available to customers since April with mass production scheduled for May this year. Yageo partners customers to advance market position in wireless solutions

Yageo Corporation has announced that it has entered into partnership with original equipment manufacturers and original design manufacturers to promote wireless solutions in Europe, backed by advanced ceramic technology. In addition to partnerships with OEMs and ODMs, Yageo will extend collaboration with key distributors, including Rutronik, TTI, Arrow, Avnet and Abacus, to strengthen the technical and design-in support available to customers for high-frequency antennas. The move is also expected to cover independent design centres in every European country.
